Poha

Poha is a Maharashtrian dish, which is very tasty and easily digestible.

Recipe:

Ingredients:
Chidwa (rice flakes)
Cooking oil
Onions- 2 small
Boiled potatoes- 1 big to 2 small
Mustard seeds
Haldi (turmeric)
Salt
Peas
Beaten Almonds or peanuts (optional)


Procedure:
1. Soak the rice flakes and drain out the water
2. Put little oil in the frying pan
3. Put mustard seeds and chopped onions into the pan
4. After the onions are brown, put beaten almonds or peanuts and add peas
5. Put chopped potatoes and then soaked rice flakes.
6. Add
haldi (turmeric), stir properly till entire rice flakes become yellow
7. Add salt to taste and keep stirring till mixed and yellow and it is ready!
